From the Desk of Dr. Arden Thatch

Many pages lay scattered across the worn wooden surface. Bits of to-do lists peek out from under lists of books he had made notes on in his near-unreadable handwriting borne of taking quick notes throughout his life.

One sheet reads:

Dr. Riley has requested medical histories. Unsure if providing more than what is already documented by past medical professionals would be wise. I do appreciate that she’s the no-nonsense sort. Doesn’t seem like she’s one to pry too deeply unless she has to.

The bottom half of another shows detailed notes on the ceremony performed at the farm, along with personal thoughts:

Lan may not have desired to take over the farm, but his connection to it was beautiful, nonetheless. Acknowledging his family’s rich history, their ties to the house spirits and to the land itself, gave such a profound sense of depth to Lan’s words as he released the spirits from their duties. I was honored to witness it. Once I’ve had the time to properly collect my thoughts into a succinct article, I’ll write to Lan for his approval to publish it. I’m sure he’ll want his name to be redacted. It’ll be a nice thing to add to our collection of traditional Kellid practices.
